South Carolina Palmetto Hands Fine Craft Exhibit

Fine craft artists from across the state participate in the annual South Carolina Palmetto Hands Juried Fine Craft Competition & Exhibition. As the state’s only fine craft competition and exhibit, objects are pre-juried and awards are determined by a different juror each year. Applicants are asked to submit works in the categories of clay, fiber, metal, wood, and 3D mixed media. Cash awards are then made at the discretion of the show juror and pieces are selected for this traveling exhibit.

Th South Carolina State Museum's Palmetto Hands art exhibit will be at the Hartsville Museum in March, 2019.

Organized and presented by the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department, this unique exhibit offers fine craft artists from across South Carolina the opportunity to exhibit their inspiring objects in the media of clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood and three-dimensional mixed media. Each year thousands enjoy the refined talents of South Carolina fine craft artists featured in this exhibition.
